Table games in Pennsylvania grow 10 pct
Table games revenue at Pennsylvania casinos grew significantly in September when compared to 2016.
US.- According to data released by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, table games revenue at local casino increased almost 10 percent in September when compared to the same period a year before.
Table games generated US$75.6 million during September operations, a 9.9 percent increase from the same time in 2016. Total tax revenue from table games was US$12.1 million, as the local Gaming Control Board estimated from the 1252 tables in operation on a daily basis in the state. On the other hand, table games at Hollywood Casino at Penn National Racecourse decreased revenues by 4.4 percent from last year to US$2.8 million.
Moreover, gross gaming revenue (GGR) from the slot machines at the 12 state casinos increased 1.7 percent in September operations to US$195 million. Nine of the twelve casinos in the state managed to achieve positive results from slot machine operations during September. Mount Airy Casino Resort, Rivers Casino and Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course were the three top scorers in Pennsylvania, whilst The Meadows Racetrack and Casino, Mohegan Sun Pocono and Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack were the three facilities that presented a decrease in revenues. The average number of slot machines operating all across Pennsylvania was 25.971, 660 less than September 2016.
