Swedish monopoly releases new attraction
Svenska Spel wants to maintain the monopoly of gaming in Sweden with new features.
Sweden.- As the biggest gaming operator in Sweden, Svenska Spel keeps introducing new features to innovate the local market. Now the monopoly has released its latest novelty, a betting pool game named ‘Oddset Challenge’. The offering is becoming a unique service in the Swedish gaming industry.
Oddest Challenge has been set to be the “most attractive daily sporting events and betting types” with the “strength of a betting pool game, with players able to enter with low stakes and win larger sums of money,” according to the official report, released by Svenska Spel. The company maintains a monopoly in the Swedish market.
Joakim Thor, director of sports products at Svenska Spel, said: “Oddset Challenge is a game that combines different betting types with the opportunity of joining a betting pool at a low price and still having the potential to win a large sum of money.” And added: “It will attract customers from both the betting world as well as those who already enjoy our existing betting pool games.”
Svenska Spel’s Oddset Challenge has been released yesterday, whilst the public was expectant about Sweden’s crucial Fifa World Cup football qualifying play-off match against Italy. Svenska Spel already offers customers eight other betting pool games, including ‘Stryktipset’, which combines 13 objects from the English and Swedish football leagues each week.
