Sweden appoints new head of gambling authority
The government has appointed Camilla Rosenberg as the new head of the Swedish Gambling Authority.
Sweden.- Camilla Rosenberg has become the new head of the Swedish Gambling Authority, the government has revealed. The official that currently serves as the Gambling Authorities Director-General and that will continue in that role, will be in charge of the gambling entity for six years.
According to Swedish regulations, Rosenberg will be the head of the regulation body from October 2017 to October 2023. “I look forward to leading the major reorganisation of the Swedish Gambling Authority that is now necessary, together with all of my colleagues at the Authority,” said Rosenberg, who has worked as a Chief Legal Officer for the Swedish Energy Agency before joining the gambling authority two years ago.
Minister for Public Administration Ardalan Shekarabi, said: “We are currently in an important phase for Swedish gambling policy, and I am delighted to be in a position to recruit an experienced and popular Director-General with good experience of the gambling market.”
