Super Technologies expands into Greece

It’s rolled out its Superbet sportsbook and igaming services under a locally based team.

Greece.- The Romania-based global gambling group Super Technologies (formerly Superbet Group) has launched its Superbet brand in Greece. It’s rolled out both its sportsbook and igaming services under a locally based team.

The company said it had identified Greece as a key market for its expansion strategy in Central and Southern Europe. The move follows its recent deal to acquire MaxBet Online to strengthen its presence in Romania.

Adam Lamentowicz, Chief Commercial Officer for Central and Eastern Europe, described Greece as a “mature and thriving market” and said the launch “goes beyond a typical market entry”.

“It is a long‑term commitment to build the country’s most engaging entertainment ecosystem and bring people closer through excitement and a shared passion for sporting competitions,” Lamentowicz said.

John Kalamvokis, General Manager of Superbet Greece, added: “We are just writing the first chapter of a future success story that will unfold with impactful partnerships and community projects”.

Superbet’s Greek platform will feature a sportsbook covering football, basketball, and tennis, with both pre‑match and live betting options. The company has stressed compliance with local regulations and tailored delivery, offering native desktop and mobile experiences.

Around 20 licensed brands are active in Greece, with OPAP’s Stoiximan holding close to half of the online sports betting market. Allwyn last week completed its merger with OPAP to become the world’s second-biggest publicly listed lottery operator amid its launch on the Greek stock exchange.
