Sunbet renews Bede Gaming partnership after strong digital growth

Press release.- Sunbet, the digital arm of Sun International, has continued investment in its market-leading digital proposition with another contract renewal with long-standing technology partner Bede Gaming.

The renewal announcement follows a further period of strong performance for the South African sports betting brand, which continues to outperform other operators in African online betting markets with a digital foundation powered by Bede’s platform technology. 

In its recent H1 2026 financial update, Sun International reported a 36 per cent YoY revenue increase for the digital brand and a 43 per cent overall increase in igaming GGR.

The additional contract renewal extends a nearly ten-year collaboration that has helped drive the operator’s rise to one of South Africa’s leading online betting brands, which has also now expanded into Botswana and Namibia using Bede’s internationally configurable platform solution.
