SugarHouse continues online sports betting expansion

SugarHouse will become Pennsylvania’s first casino to launch online sports betting services.

US.- SugarHouse Casino received on Tuesday the green light to launch online sports betting services. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) approved SugarHouse’s request and the facility is now the first one to offer such modality in the state.

The casino started offering online sports bets from 4 pm to midnight Tuesday and tested a longer period yesterday, while another one will take place today. The full launch will take place on Friday, Richard McGarvey, gaming board spokesman confirmed.

Players in Pennsylvania can use the same URL that used in New Jersey, PlaySugarHouse.com. Players will be automatically redirected to the state’s website.

Mattias Stetz, the chief operating officer of Rush Street Gaming, the casino’s parent company, said that Tuesday was a big day for them. He explained that the successful online betting operations in New Jersey and a combined casino and sportsbook in Colombia sped up the regulatory approval in Pennsylvania.
