Rhode Island: betting revenue down 45.6% in March

Revenue fell to $841,767, down almost $1million on the same month last year and down 63.8 per cent from the $2.3million reported in February.

US.- Rhode Island has reported a 45.6 per cent year on year drop in betting revenue in March due to the impact of the Coronavirus crisis.

Revenue fell to $841,767, down almost $1million on the same month last year and down 63.8 per cent from the $2.3million reported in February.

The decline has been attributed to the cancellation of sport events in the US and beyond as well as the forced casino closure in the state as part of efforts to contain Covid-19.

This includes two Rhode Island casinos operated by Twin River which have been closed since March 14
