Stations Casinos opens medical centres for employees

Staff can receive medical attention at Red Rock Casino and Sunset Station.

US.- Stations Casinos has opened on-site medical centres for employees at two of its Nevada properties.

Stations workers can receive medical attention at Red Rock Casino Resort or Spa and Sunset Station Hotel and Casino if they earn less than $41,600 annually or $20 per hour, the company said.

The health care services will include free medical visits, lab testing and generic prescriptions. The company said it would eventually like to add dental and eye care to the list.

While Stations has stated that the medical centres were not opened in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, it added that it was glad to be able to help its staff in a year in which the importance of healthcare was especially apparent.

Stations clinics will be operated by Activate Healthcare, an Indianapolis-based company with 350 health centres across 32 states.

Casinos in Nevada are currently operating at 25 per cent capacity after a rise in coronavirus cases in the state. The restrictions will be in place until mid-January.
