Station Casinos face disciplinary action for improper sports wagers

The Nevada Gaming Control Board has filed a complaint and is expecting action from the Nevada Gaming Commission.

US.- The Nevada Gaming Control Board may impose a fine or other disciplinary action against Station Casinos for accepting bets with already known outcomes over a three-year period.

Station Casinos is said to have accepted approximately 348 improper wagers on events whose outcomes had already been determined. Earlier this year, the operator reported that it collected 167 sports bets due to a malfunction related to insufficient server memory for the Stadium Live program.

The complaint filed reads: “Respondents are responsible for any violation related to the Stadium Live program. Toleration of such repeated violations constitutes ground for license revocation or other disciplinary action.”

No date has yet been set for a hearing at the Nevada Gaming Commission. Station Casinos and the Control Board can still reach a stipulated settlement.
