Station Casinos announces expansion plans

The company announced plans to expand its slot machines offer in Las Vegas.

US.- Station Casinos announced that plans to renovate the Palms in Las Vegas. Executives confirmed that 280 new slot machines are part of a series of improvements that the company set when it acquired the facility in May 2016.

Executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of Station Casinos, Marc Falone, said that the expansion of the slot machines offered at the casino were part of the first measures that they set last year. Furthermore, he explained that a cafe inside the facility is currently under renovations and it will be followed by a buffet upgrade as well. More improvements in the three-tower property are also expected: the hotel rooms, suites and penthouses will be renovated, and the 95.000 square feet will be expanded with more slots, table games and a sports book.

Last year, Red Rock Resorts sold the casino to Station Casinos for US$312 million. “With the acquisition of the Palms we gain a leading gaming asset in Las Vegas with key strategic benefits in the Las Vegas locals market and close proximity to the Las Vegas Strip,” said the company.
