South Dakota Deadwood casino gaming handle decreases in May
Visitors wagered $136.6m, down 2.9 per cent year-over-year.
US.- Visitors to Deadwood’s casinos wagered $136.6m in May, according to a monthly report from the South Dakota Commission on Gaming. That’s a drop of 2.9 per cent year-over-year. Taxable adjusted gross revenue was $12.3m.
The table games handle totalled $8.7m, up 12.25 per cent from the same month in 2024. Blackjack generated $3.6m, house-banked poker $2.5m, player-banked poker $1.6m and craps $657,870. Slot machines generated $126.9m, down 3.9 per cent. Total tax was $1.1m.
The sports betting handle was $611,837 in June, up 23.9 per cent year-over-year. Major League Baseball (MLB) led the market with a $313,135 handle, followed by the National Basketball Association (NBA) with $175,551.
