The Commercial Director of Booming Games spoke to Focus Gaming News about the company’s upcoming attendance at SiGMA Central Europe and revealed some details about its roadmap for 2026.

Exclusive interview.- Focus Gaming News sat down with Simona Lanzoni, commercial director at Booming Games, ahead of the company’s participation in SiGMA Central Europe in Rome this November.

In this conversation, Lanzoni discusses how major industry events fuel collaboration and innovation, the company’s rapid expansion into new regulated markets, and the delicate balance between creativity and familiarity in game design. She also offers insight into Booming Games’ upcoming roadmap, the evolution of player experiences through AI, and the company’s vision for the next chapter of its global growth.

Next November, Booming Games will assist the SiGMA Central Europe in Rome. How do events like SiGMA help shape Booming Games’ future collaborations or innovations?

Events like SiGMA Central Europe are important for Booming Games because they create genuine opportunities to connect, share ideas, and build new partnerships. They allow us to explore potential collaborations and stay close to the latest market trends and technologies. Those expos help us better understand what players and partners are looking for, which directly inspires our future games and innovations. It’s a chance to learn, exchange experiences, and strengthen our presence in a fast-evolving igaming landscape.

Which topics do you expect to dominate the conversations at this year’s edition?

Based on what we’ve seen this year at previous SiGMA events, we expect conversations in Rome to centre around AI-driven personalisation, regulatory evolution, and the growing importance of localised content. As more markets move toward regulation, topics like responsible gaming and player protection will continue to take the spotlight.

There’s also a clear buzz around cross-platform gameplay, instant win formats, and how innovation in mobile experiences can drive stronger player engagement. Sustainability, compliance, and data security are likely to remain important themes as well.

Booming Games has recently secured a Greek licence and expanded its presence in Africa with partnerships like Betway and Bitville Gaming. How are these new markets influencing your product roadmap, especially when it comes to tailoring content for local preferences?

Each market has its own gaming culture, player preferences, and regulatory framework, so our approach is about local relevance. Our games are now available in 17 regulated markets, and our portfolio is incredibly diverse.

Players and operators across the globe can find something that suits their taste — from classic slots with timeless appeal to more advanced titles featuring innovative mechanics and bonus structures. We also offer a wide variety of themes and styles, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

This diversity allows us to meet local expectations while maintaining the global quality and creativity that define Booming Games.

You’ve released several new slot titles lately, such as “Greedy for Gold Power Hit” and “Burning Classics 2.” What’s your approach for balancing between innovation (theme, mechanics) and familiarity (classic feel, proven formats) to appeal to both new players and long-time fans?

That balance is at the heart of our game design philosophy. We know players love the comfort of familiar formats—the classic mechanics, symbols, and gameplay they’ve enjoyed for years—but they also crave fresh twists that keep the experience exciting.

With titles like Greedy for Gold Power Hit, and Burning Classics 2, we aim to blend both worlds: delivering the nostalgia and simplicity that long-time fans appreciate, while introducing new features, bonus dynamics, and visual upgrades that attract modern players.

Ultimately, our goal is to make every game feel both instantly recognisable and refreshingly different, ensuring that no matter the player’s background, they find something engaging and rewarding in the Booming Games portfolio.

Looking ahead to SiGMA Central Europe, are there any specific themes, features, or games you plan to unveil or spotlight that capture Booming Games’ vision for the next 12-18 months?

We’re currently in the process of finalising our 2026 roadmap, so we can’t share every detail just yet—but there’s definitely a lot to look forward to. One of the most exciting updates is that we’ll be increasing our game releases from three to five titles per month, giving players and partners even more variety and fresh content.

When it comes to the games themselves, we’ll continue building on the success of our Fish Tales series, which has been extremely well received by both partners and players. Our next release, Fish Tales Halloween, will be the third in the series, following Fish Tales Monster Bash and Fish Tales Double Catch.

Looking ahead, we’ll keep combining classic slot themes that have proven themselves across multiple markets with more innovative and creative concepts—a balance that truly reflects Booming Games’ vision for the future.

What role do you expect AI and emerging technologies to play in transforming the player experience?

AI and emerging technologies are set to play a huge role in how the player experience evolves. We see them as tools that can help us better understand player behaviour, allowing us to create even more personalised and engaging content.

From smarter game recommendations to dynamic difficulty adjustments and data-driven design insights, AI can make gameplay feel more intuitive and tailored to individual preferences. It also supports us in optimising everything from game performance to localisation, ensuring each release feels relevant and accessible in every market.

At Booming Games, we’re excited about how these technologies can enhance creativity, efficiency, and player satisfaction—while always keeping entertainment and responsible gaming at the core of what we do.
