The Canadian casino held its grand opening on Wednesday.
Canada.- Shorelines Casino Belleville, located in Ontario, Canada, opened its doors to the public yesterday at 5 pm. The casino owner, Great Canadian Gaming, held a media tour for the public hours before the grand opening.
Andy LaCroix, executive director in Ontario for Great Canadian Gaming, said: “It’s a great day here in Belleville and we’re thankful for your support. Hopefully you had that wow feeling when you walked into the building.” The casino features more than 450 slot machines, along with 18 table games and VIP tables on the east side of the facility. Craig DeMarta, Vice President Operations East, Great Canadian Gaming Corporation, said: “We have worked tirelessly over the past ten months and today we have so much to be proud of as we get to welcome our guests and the community to experience the Shorelines brand and the gaming entertainment facility that has so much to offer.”
The casino also features a PlaySmart Centre, specially dedicated to prevent gambling problems and raise awareness of responsible gambling. The innovative platform is operated by Responsible Gambling Council, a non-profit organisation. “We are so very honoured to be in the position to open a gaming entertainment facility of this magnitude in Ontario, especially considering the last casino opened in the province ten years ago. As a company with over 30 years of gaming experience, we are confident in our ability to create and deliver an exceptional overall entertainment experience,” said DeMarta.
