Seven-month extension for Parisian Macao
Sands China was granted an extension to complete Parisian Macao by the Macau government.
Macau.- The government of Macau, gave Sands China Ltd. a seven-month extension to complete its US$2.7b resort casino’s, the Parisian Macao. The deadline has been extended from April to November 2016, according to a statement made by the Land, Public Works and Transport Bureau.
Last May, Sands China notified the authorities that its resort wouldn’t be completed by April 2016. Initially, the casino operator had expected to have a partial launch in November 2014 and a full launch in March 2015, but the schedule goals were not met and the Parisian Macao now will open its doors in November. The casino resort will feature 3,000 rooms and suites, gaming space, a retail mall and a themed water park.
