Seneca Nation to invest $47m in Seneca Niagara Hotel renovation
The project will cover 594 rooms and suites at the 26-storey hotel, with construction scheduled to begin in October.
US.- The Seneca Nation plans to invest $47m to renovate 594 rooms and suites at its 26-storey hotel in Niagara, New York. Construction is scheduled to begin in October, with the project expected to be completed by late 2027. Work will be carried out across three floors at a time to maintain the planned timeline.
The casino opened in 2002 and an adjacent hotel tower followed in 2006. The property’s first major expansion came in 2008 with a project to add hotel rooms and other amenities. That included the acquisition of the adjacent Fallsville Splash Park, which had been condemned by the State of New York and transferred to the company before being demolished for the casino expansion.
In 2013, the property underwent $26m in renovations that included improvements to the main gaming floor and outdoor square. The Seneca Nation and Seneca Gaming Corporation announced another $40m renovation project in 2018 including a new lobby and lobby bar, expanded registration and VIP check-in areas. The latest project comes as the hotel tower reaches its 20th anniversary. The 10 penthouses at the property will not be included in the renovation.
Seneca Niagara has 604 rooms in total and recorded 220,460 available room nights in 2025. The property saw an occupancy rate of more than 82 per cent during the year.
