San Diego casino to launch expansion
The facility announced a US$50 million expansion and became the sixth facility in the region to do so.
US.- Valley View Casino & Hotel announced on Tuesday a US$50 million expansion, which will add more than 42.000 square feet to the casino floor. The San Diego casino is now the sixth in the zone to announce an expansion this year.
The expansion that will start in April 2018 and is expected to finish a year later, will also add a new restaurant and a main entrance. The operator of the facility announced the expansion plans the same day neighboring Pala Casino Resort & Spa unveiled its US$170 million renovations. Local media estimates that US$1 billion are being spent on remodels in more than half of the casinos in the area. The project will generate 400 construction jobs and 200 new resort jobs as well.
Joe Navarro, president and CEO of the San Pasqual Casino Development Group, Inc, said in a statement: “It’s exciting to see our casino grow and continue to evolve. The improvements we are making to Valley View Casino & Hotel in the coming year will enhance the experience for all of our guests that have been with us since the beginning as well as for our new guests visiting us for the first time.”
