RSI becomes first operator to receive RG Check Accreditation in Ontario
Rush Street Interactive has become the first US.-based online casino and sports betting firm to receive accreditation from the Responsible Gambling Council (RGC).
US.- Rush Street Interactive (RSI) has received RG Check Accreditation from the Responsible Gambling Council (RGC) for its BetRivers.com and PlaySugarHouse.com brands. It’s the first US online casino and sports betting company to receive the accreditation.
RSI was been granted an igaming licence for its online casino and sportsbook brand BetRivers to operate in Ontario. The Canadian province will open its legal igaming market on April 4. The responsible gaming accreditation RG Check has been added to the requirements for all igaming operators entering the Ontario market. It is valid for three years.
The RG Check programme aims to ensure high standards of responsible gambling maintained for new igaming operators. The process helps gambling venues and igaming sites evaluate, monitor, and manage all aspects of their RG strategy and operations.
Richard Schwartz, chief executive officer of RSI, said: “Receiving RG Check Accreditation is a testament to our commitment and execution of RSI’s corporate social responsibility strategy, which includes the continued implementation of the company’s responsible gaming initiatives.
“We want to ensure our valued customers and employees are equipped with the tools and resources necessary to help ensure a culture of safe, fair and fun gaming experiences.”
Shelley White, CEO of the Responsible Gambling Council, added: “RG Check is a clear demonstration that an operator prioritizes and embeds responsible gambling into the core of its operations. RGC commends BetRivers.com and PlaySugarHouse.com for achieving RG Check Accreditation.
“This achievement represents RSI’s commitment to transparency, player safeguards, duty of care and continuous improvement, as well as contributes to creating a culture of responsible gambling and sustainable play. RG Check is an invaluable tool for managing risk and increasing the effectiveness of RG programming. RGC is proud to provide continuous support to RSI’s harm minimization efforts.”
