Rivers Casino to offer live horse betting

The Upstate New York facility garnered its OTB to bring live on-site horse betting to Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady.

US.- Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady announced a partnership with Capital Off-Track Betting (OTB), which will bring the latter’s complete horse wagering services to Rivers Casino. Rivers will become the first and only casino in New York State to offer live on-site horse betting to players.

The partnership is set to bring additional tax revenue to Schenectady and the surrounding area. Capital Off-Track Betting will have a “branch” inside the casino at Van Slyck’s, adjacent to the gaming floor. A total of three betting terminals will be available, with two terminals at the bar and a kiosk window with a live teller available to take bets and provide customer service. TVs in the bar area will also be specifically designated for horse racing, airing four tracks at a time.
