Rivers Casino opens today
The New York casino expects thousand of people during its inauguration.
US.- Rivers Casino & Resoty Schenectady will officially open its doors to the public today. According to the Daily Gazzette, the police will deploy additional personnel to handle the expected increase in traffic.
Rivers Casino & Resort will boost the regional tourism and entertainment industry with major events: The 50.000 square feet facility will feature 1140 slot machines along with 67 gaming tables and 15 poker tables. Furthermore, it will be next to a 10.000 square feet banquet and a 165 room hotel. The casino is part of Rivers Casino & Resort at Mohawk Harbor, a project that offers 50 boat slips. The New York casino that will also utilise Konami’s advanced gaming enterprise management system Synkros, in its 1158 slots and 65 gaming tables. Konami Gaming commented that they will offer a variety of its games including the Concerto video slot, and its Synkros system that supports customisation for multiple player.
TWC News reported that Neil Golub, CEO of Price Chopper, said that the opening represents everything that’s going on in Schenectady. “Schenectady is going to become a destination, and that’s something we have never been! It’s a pretty exciting time to be in Schenectady. There’s a lot going on here, and we expect it to continue.”
