Resorts World New York City adds 1,400 slot machines on reopened first floor
The additional machines are expected to increase gross gaming revenue and tax payments to the state of New York.
US.- Resorts World New York City has opened its first floor with the addition of 1,400 slot machines, bringing the total number of slots at the property to 3,900. The expansion was completed within three months of the venue becoming New York City’s first full-fledged casino.
This initiative marks the initial phase of a $5.5bn expansion. For 2030, Resorts World New York City is expected to have a 350,000-square-foot gaming area with 6,000 slot machines and 800 live table games as well as a 7,000-seat entertainment venue, 2,000 hotel rooms and over 10 acres of public green space.
The additional machines are expected to increase gross gaming revenue and tax payments to the state of New York.
Robert DeSalvio, President of Genting Americas East, said: “Since the moment we opened, our slot machines have been incredibly popular with the public, generating more than $230 million in gross gaming revenue in just 11 weeks. With these 1,400 new games, we will be able to accommodate more patrons and generate even more in taxes for the state.”
