Potawatomi Casino shares expansion details

After revealing its plans to build a second tower, the casino-hotel unveiled more details of the project.

US.- Potawatomi Hotel & Casino revealed earlier this month its plans to expand its space to feature a second hotel tower. The operator has now announced that the project pending approval is expected to be finished by spring 2019.

The Milwaukee community its also set to experience a US$80 million investment as part of the project. The construction of the 180.000 square feet tower will begin during the third quarter of the year. Rodney Ferguson, chief operating officer of the casino, told Totally Gaming that whilst guest response to the hotel has been phenomenal since its opening in 2014, the Forest County Potawatomi Community had great foresight in preparing for a second tower during original construction. “The footings for the second tower have always been in place in anticipation of an expanded hotel,” he added.

Moreover, he confirmed to the news outlet that the casino will be operational during the expansion, and that it won’t bother the guests. “By adding nearly 60 suites to the property with this expansion, we’re prioritizing our casino guests and their experience when visiting. The rooms, along with the spa, will bolster the property’s reputation as an attractive destination for visitors in the region and beyond,” he said.
