The Stars Group has joined gaming company Sugal & Damani to launch PokerStars in India.

India.- PokerStars is getting ready to launch in India and that’s why The Stars Group has entered into a partnership with gaming company Sugal & Damani. The company will replace khelplay, an online poker website that was previously operated by Sugal & Damani’s parent firm, Sachar Gaming Private Limited, which will cease operations on March 15th.

Furthermore, the domain name “Pokerstars.in” is now owned by a different company owned by Sachar Gaming Private Limited, Sachiko Gaming Private Limited, Glaws.in reports. However, anyone entering the website at the moment will only see a message that states “Coming Soon!” as the site is yet to be launched.

The launch date for PokerStars’ website in India is yet to be announced, as the company hasn’t disclosed any potential dates. However, it is expected to go live in the next few weeks despite Rafi Ashkenazi, chief executive of The Stars Group, previously saying the service would go live in 2017.
