Pine Bluff casino to start operations soon

The casino located in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, will likely start some operations in the next five months.

US.- Quapaw Nation’s new US$350 million resort and casino is currently under its construction phase. The Pine Bluff casino secured its license earlier this month through its business arm Downstream Development Authority.

Quapaw Chairman John Berrey said that they’re focused on the side of US-63 opposite the main Saracen Resort Casino complex, on a former VP truck stop. “We’re going to be adding the annex to it, which will have machines in it for people to begin gaming in approximately five months,” said Berrey to KATV.

The chairman added that he’s hopeful that the Saracen Annex, featuring more than 300 electronic games, could be open in just four months. The mini-casino will be the first phase of the project

“At the time we open the Annex, you’ll see the foundation, steel beams and a lot of activity happening at the Saracen main complex,” said Berrey. “So it’s not one before the other.”
