PhilWeb obtains new eGames license

The Philippine gaming regulator has finally given PhilWeb the permission to operate again in the country.

Philippines.- The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (Pagcor) has issued a Provisional Certificate of Accreditation as an Electronic Gaming System (EGS) service provider to PhilWeb after the gaming technology provider matched the conditions that were set in order to operate again in the Asian country.

Dennis Valdes, president of PhilWeb, said: “We are grateful to PAGCOR chairman Domingo and the entire Board of Directors of Pagcor for their faith in our company and for giving us the opportunity to deliver services to their electronic gaming operators once again.”

Back in June, the Chair of Pagcor Andrea Domingo, said in an interview with ANC’s Headstart that PhilWeb could operate in the country again if it picked a single function. The official believed that PhilWeb should only have one function, instead of being a game provider, game station owner, and audit service provider.

Earlier this month, the company also revealed that it acquired through a subsidiary eGames sites from I-3 Gamers, Inc. in exchange for 225,000 PhilWeb shares. With the new acquisition through BigGame Inc, PhilWeb has bought four Pagcor eGamos parlors.
