Philippine lottery against illegal gambling operators
The Philippines state-run lottery operator teamed up with cops to stop illegal gambling operators and the police that allow these crimes to happen.
Philippines.- The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced that they’re planning to impose tougher regulations on small town lottery operations to put an end to the illegal numbers game jueteng.
PCSO chairman retired Director Jose Jorge Corpuz said that the meeting is seeking the cooperation of the Philippines National Police (PNP) to announce that small town lottery is the only legal numbers game that will operate in the country. “New IRR and memorandum of agreement will be signed by the PCSO and PNP soon,” he added.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office also confirmed that the police officers that protect illegal gambling operators will be publicly named in addition to current punishments.
