PGCB to hold hearing for Stadium Casino

The board will meet on May 6 to discuss the licence renewal for Stadium Casino.

US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has revealed that it will hold a public hearing on May 6. The purpose of the meeting is to gather evidence, including public comment, on the renewal of a casino licence.

The meeting will discuss the renewal of the Category 2 Slot Machine Operator’s licence for Stadium Casino, LLC which is constructing the Live! Casino in Philadelphia. The hearing will take place at Penn State at The Navy Yard.

In order to implement the renewal, which all casinos are subject to it every five years, the PGCB utilises a two-step process. The first one is to hold a public hearing before the director of the board’s Office of Hearings and Appeals to collect testimony and evidence. The second step is to hold a separate public hearing in Harrisburg at a later date where Stadium Casino, LLC representatives will offer oral arguments and Board members can ask additional questions.

Following these proceedings, the Board will then be able to determine whether the licensee remains eligible and suitable consistent with the laws of the Commonwealth and are otherwise qualified to have the licence renewed for a five-year period.
