PGCB to review Parx Casino licence renewal
The board is set to hold a public hearing on February 20 to consider the licence renewal of the casino.
US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has announced that it will hold a public hearing on February 20 to gather evidence, including public comment, on the renewal of the licence of Parx Casino.
The licence in question is a Category 1 Slot Machine Operator one for Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, Inc., operator of the Parx Casino in Bucks County. The meeting will be open to the public, who will be able to present oral comment or provide written comment prior to the hearing. The PGCB said that the deadline for registration to speak at the hearing is February 19.
The February 20 public hearing will be held before the Director of the PGCB’s Office of Hearings and Appeals for the purpose of receiving documentary evidence, hearing testimony and building a record upon which the Board will base its licensing decision. The hearing record, along with a report from the Director of Hearings and Appeals, will be transmitted to the Board.
The PGCB will also hold a separate public hearing in Harrisburg at a later date where Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, Inc. representatives will offer oral arguments and Board members can ask additional questions.
