PGCB to hold hearing for Greenwood casino application

The authority will hold a public hearing on March 25 for Greenwood Gaming’s Category 4 casino application.

US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has announced that it is set to hold a public input hearing on March 25 at the Conference Center at Shippensburg University in order to discuss and collect testimony on the Category 4 casino application submitted by Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment (Parx Casino).

The regulator said that registration to speak or submit written testimony is open for submission. The deadline for registration to speak is March 22. A listing of all government officials, community groups and individuals who have registered to speak will be posted on the regulator’s web site one week prior to the hearing and updated daily.

The purpose of the hearing is to both provide a forum for individuals to voice their support or opposition to the proposed casino and to permit those persons with an interest in the applicant’s proposal to learn more about the project.

“A separate public hearing will be held at a later date in Harrisburg where Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, Inc. representatives will offer oral arguments and Board members can ask additional questions prior to a licensing decision,” said the PGCB.
