Peter Isola steps down from Entain board
Isola will not renew his position as a non-executive director at the company.
UK.- The board of Entain Plc has announced that non-executive director Peter Isola has decided not to renew his duties. He ended a six-year stint as a corporate advisor to the company yesterday (March 21).
Isola is the founding partner of Gibraltar’s largest law firm ISOLAS LLP and specialises in gambling and financial services law. He joined Entain’s board in 2016 and held positions on its Audit, Remuneration and ESG Committees.
He provided legal guidance on Entain’s merger with Bwin.Party Entertainment in 2016 and Ladbrokes Coral in 2018. Entain said Isola had taken the decision to focus on other opportunities.
Entain chairman Barry Gibson said: “On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Peter for his significant contribution and commitment to Entain over the last six years. We wish him well for the future.”
Entain has announced a £100m investment in a new innovation hub dubbed Ennovate to investigate emerging areas such as NFTs and the metaverse as the FTSE100 gaming operator seeks to become a “global leader in innovative entertainment”. The company has also expressed interest in the link between video gaming and betting.
