Legal casino operations in Pennsylvania have achieved a new growth last month.
US.- Casino operators in Pennsylvania revealed to local government last month’s financial report showing a growth of 4.9 per cent. Pennsylvania State’s legal slots are seemingly recovering a positive rhythm after two years of several drops on the financial results presented to the state’s government.
As revealed yesterday by Pennsylvania officials, the state’s 12 gambling venues reported total slot revenue of US$197,763,673 addressing June 2018’s operations. The total shows a slot revenue growth to US$2.35 billion during the timeframe, approximately US$16 million more than state casinos raked in during the fiscal year of 2016/2017.
Meanwhile, a Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board’s report on the previous month shows that combined gross revenue from slot machines at the 12 state casinos in May of this year was US$203.9 million, 0.4 per cent higher than the May 2017 gross revenue figure of US$203.2 million. The average number of slot machines operating throughout Pennsylvania was 25,840 in May 2018 compared to 26,092 in May 2017. Moreover, tax revenue from May 2018 was US$106.4 million.
The latest report shows a tendency of small rises among slot machines in licensed land-based gaming salons throughout the year.
