Slot machine revenue 2 pct up in Pennsylvania
The revenue results from March represent the third highest monthly total registered in the state.
US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has revealed that gross revenue generated this March through slot machine gaming at the state’s casinos increased 2.37% over revenue generated in the same period in 2018.
The board reported that last month’s gross revenue of US$226.5 million at the 12 state casinos was the third highest individual month from the play of slot machines, only behind March 2012’s US$233.1 million and March 2013’s US$229.3 million.
Furthermore, the revenue from the play of slots machines was US$118 million. The average number of slot machines operating on a daily basis was 25,238 during March 2019 compared to 25,815 at the casinos in March 2018.
Parx Casino registered the biggest share of slot machine revenue to US$39.2 million, up 4.85% from March 2018. Rivers Casino and Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem complete the top 3 in the state with US$28.2 million and US$27.6 million respectively.
However, the facility that registered the biggest percentage change from slot machine revenue was Valley Forge Casino Resort, which registered US$9.3 million in March 2018, a 13.3% increase when compared to the US$8.2 million it had reported in the same month in 2018.
