Slot machine revenue falls in Pennsylvania

April results indicate that revenue from slot machine play fell in Pennsylvania.

US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has released the monthly report for total revenue generated from the play of slot machines at casinos during April 2019. This shows that slot machine revenue fell during last month’s operations in Pennsylvania.

According to the report, April’s gross revenue from slot machines at the 12 casinos was $200.3 million, which represents a 2.8% decrease in revenue when compared to the US$206.1 million generated in April 2018. Furthermore, tax revenue from the play of slots machines in April of this year was US$104.2 million.

The state regulator also reported that the average number of slot machines operating on a daily basis was 25,207 during April 2019, approximately 600 less when compared to the 25,841 at the casinos in April 2018.

Part Casino was the facility in Pennsylvania that reported the highest revenue from slot machine to US$34.9 million, but it fell 1,88% when compared to April 2018. The only facilities that reported positive revenue changes were Rivers Casino to US$24.8 million and a 3,55% increase and Valley Forge Casino Resort, which totalled US$8.2 million and a 2.22% rise.
