Pennsylvania releases July financial results

The results took into account the slot machine operations during July’s activities.

US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) posted on its website the monthly report for total gross revenue and tax revenue generated from the play of slot machines at casinos during July 2018. According to the report, the combined gross revenue from slot machines at the 12 casinos in July of this year was US$203.6 million, 2.6 per cent lower than the July 2017 gross revenue figure of US$209.1 million.

The report shows that Parx Casino grew to US$34.7 million meaning 0.77 per cent higher compared to the US$34.4 million achieved in July 2017. As to Rivers Casino, the growth was of 0.38 per cent from US$24.3 million to US$24.4 million. Meanwhile, The Meadows fell 3.02 per cent from US$19.4 million to US$18.8 million.

The biggest loss was reported by Mount Airy Casino Resort, which achieved US$13.1 million, representing a low of 10.54 per cent. It was followed by Mohegan Sun Pocono, which achieved US$16.9 million,  8.84 per cent less than the US$18.6 million amount collected in July 2017. Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem also fell 2.56 per cent from US$26.4 million to US$25.7 million. The Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course also fell to US$17.2 million from the US$18.6 million of 2017, representing a low of 7.10 per cent.

Meanwhile, Valley Forge Casino Resort celebrated the biggest growth to US$7.6 million from the US$7.2 million of the previous year, which means a total growth of 4.91 per cent.
