Pennsylvania receives DFS applications
The state gambling regulator received four new applications to operate daily fantasy sports.
US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has announced that it received applications from four additional companies to operate daily fantasy sports (DFS) in the state, in addition to the six previously received.
The state has just legalised daily fantasy sports (DFS) and regulated the activity through a law that went into effect earlier this month. The legalisation has already seen six websites registered to legally operate within the state borders, including top companies DraftKings and FanDuel.
The new applications were received from Yahoo Fantasy Sports LLC, Fantasy Draft LLC, Sportshub Technologies and Full Time Fantasy Sports. The PGCB said in a statement: “It is legal to participate in Fantasy Sports Contests with any of these ten firms listed if you are submitting an entry fee for a contest and initiating play from within Pennsylvania. It is not legal to participate if you are playing while within Pennsylvania with any firm not listed below.”
