Pennsylvania authorities shut alleged illegal gambling operation
More than $91,000 in cash was seized in Washington County.
US.- The Pennsylvania State Police has announced an operation against a suspected illegal private gambling club in Washington County. Officers say more than $91,000 in cash was seized along with a Queen of Hearts game board
PSP Liquor Control Enforcement Officer Wayne Wright said the club did not have a county-issued small games of chance licence and that the game found is not on the state’s approved list. State law requires all gambling operators to be licensed by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
Authorities believe the alleged illegal operation had been active for over 10 months. An investigation is ongoing and potential criminal charges have not been ruled out.
