Penn National to launch sports betting in Lawrenceburg
Penn National will launch its new sportsbook at Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg on September 1.
US.- Penn National Gaming has announced that it will launch sports betting at its Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg on September 1. Indiana will become the 12th state in the United States to legalise and kick off sports betting operations.
The launch of Penn National’s sports betting operations is still pending regulatory approval from the Indiana Gaming Commission. The entity will be in charge of overseeing sports betting in the state.
The sportsbook will be inside of the Hops House 99 sports bar and will feature a betting counter with ticket writer stations. The lounge will also feature dozens of new televisions for customers.
Penn National CEO Timothy Wilmott said that the company is excited to begin offering sports betting for its customers in Southeast Indiana. “The enthusiasm around sports betting has been growing since the federal ban was repealed last year, and we look forward to providing our patrons with another great amenity to enjoy at our facility.”
