The sports betting startup has appointed Patrick Nordwall as its first chief executive officer.

Malta.- The sports betting start-up ParlayBay has appointed its first CEO. The company, which launched in September, has named Patrick Nordwall to the role.

He joins ParlayBay from slots developer Yggdrasil, where he spent close to four years as head of business for Northern Europe and the Nordic countries.

Before that, Nordwall held a range of C-level positions, including at Re:cash Scandinavia and ATM developer Kontanten AB.

ParlayBay has set out a mission to develop player-centric experiences aside from gamification through its sports betting games. It’s signed an agreement with Genius Sports as its official sports data provider.

Nordwall said: “I’m delighted to be offered this exciting opportunity, to be a part of building a completely new product offering for the sports betting market. With a profound interest in sports, both on and off the pitch, and my experience up to this point – this is my calling.

“I believe my diverse background at C-level, nurturing start-ups and my dedication and love for sports make this new adventure a perfect fit. Our products will make huge waves once we launch our real money operation and I can’t wait to make sports betting even more engaging with ParlayBay.”

Despite having only been operating for a short period of time, ParlayBay has made considerable efforts to strengthen its position in the betting and gaming industry.”
