Paradise Co posts revenue increase in February

The South Korean casino operator saw revenues 28.5% higher year-on-year as they reached €43.7 billion.

South Korea.- South Korean casino operator Paradise Co Ltd. reported its February financial figures this week and disclosed a major improvement year-on-year. According to the company, revenues last month were up to €43.7 billion, a figure 28.5% higher than the same month in 2018.

The results for its casino operations were 28.8% better for table revenues, while machine games managed to rake 24.5% more than they did in February last year. They helped the company achieve a major improvement in 2019, as it’s already 15.2% up year-on-year after two months.

The company didn’t consider its improvement was due to any specific segment, but the foreign bettors arriving to play in their Jeju, Seoul, Busan and Incheon venues may be to blame, as the operator continues to lure them in from Japan and all around the region to keep growing.

Should it manage to bring in more tourism from China, the operator would quickly recover from its net loss of approximately €8.6 billion for full-year 2018, which followed a €14.9 billion net loss in full-year 2017.
