Paradise Co suffers slight decline in revenues

The South Korean casino posted a 2% year-on-year revenue fall in August.

South Korea.- Casino operator Paradise Co Ltd has reported its financial results for August operations. The South Korean company reported a 2% year-on-year decline, compared to an 8% fall in the same month in 2017.

The company, which reported the financial results during a filing to the Korea Exchange, said that casino revenue fell 17.4% month-on-month as well. August revenue was approximately US$46.4 million, compared to the €40 million reported during the same period in 2017.

Table games revenue in August totalled €37,1 million, which represents a 1.1% from the same month last year, when the casino reported €36 million. Moreover, revenue from slot machines this month was down by 13.3% year-on-year to €2,7 million.

Paradise Co also said that for the first eight months of 2018, casino revenue rose 19.7% to €317 million, up from the €264.9 million registered during the same period in 2017.
