Paradise City casino expects nearly 5 million visitors
Paradise Segasammy Co announced it expects to attract 4.8 million visitors within a year of completion of the project’s second phase.
South Korea.- Incheon city’s Paradise City casino resort has already attracted over 1.2 million visitors in its first year operating but operator Paradise Segasammy Co Ltd projects the venue will get way more attention. According to the company’s projections, once the second phase of the scheme is completed, the resort will attract 4.8 million visitors within a year.
The casino resort opened in April 2017 after completing the first phase of the development, which involves a foreigner-only casino, a hotel and a convention centre. The second phase will add a second hotel, a spa a club and a shopping arcade.
South Korean news agency Yonhap quoted Paradise CEO Park Pyung-yong saying that the company “will emphasise the entertainment aspect through our second-phase opening, becoming a key tourism landmark of South Korea.” Furthermore, the operator announced that its sales target for the new facilities is €383 million.
Regarding its customer target, Paradise Segasammy is trying to lure in visitors from other countries besides China. Regarding the growth of Chinese visitors (45.9% year-on-year during July) Mr Park said: “We don’t think the number of Chinese visitors will increase quickly in the near future. Yet we expect the upcoming opening will vitalise our marketing and attract more VIPs.”
