The Palazzo’s casino to undergo renovation
The operator announced that the casino floor at The Palazzo will undergo a US$15 million renovation.
US.- Las Vegas Sands revealed that US$15 million will be invested in order to renovate the casino floor at The Palazzo. The Las Vegas Strip gambling facility features 60.000 square feet of space, more than 139 table games and 1038 slot machines.
Approximately US$12 million will be spent for new carpeting and painting the gaming floor’s walls, Casino News Daily revealed. The gaming machines will also be rearranged once they’re completely refurbished. The casino floor will also feature two new bars, US$1.3 million planned on The Corner Bar, which is set to occupy 1100 square foot for 84 guests, and US$1.4 million to another bar. The Palazzo opened its doors almost ten years ago and has quickly become one of the most important destinations in The Strip.
Last October, it was reported that the Nevada Gaming Control Board was set to investigate operations in Las Vegas Sands casino due to possible VIP bettors who played using false identities. The case revolved around Chinese players who seemingly made high-stakes bets in other people’s names on the Nevada casino. The State’s gambling regulator probed the role of casino operators during these activities.
