Pagcor employee keeps legal battle against Wynn Resorts

Former worker of Pagcor will appeal the Macau Court of First Appeal’s ruling on the legal battle.

Macau.- As the Macau Court of First Appeal (TJB) ruled last Friday in favour of Wynn Resorts Macau, former Pagcor official Rogelio Yusi Bangsil Jr. confirmed that he will move forward with the legal battle against the American gaming company. Pacgor’s former employee will appeal the ruling in the following weeks.

The legal battle started in 2014 when Rogelio Yusi Bangsil Jr. and his wife appeared as two of the 17 alleged beneficiaries of over US$110,000 in gifts and payments from the then Wynn director Kazuo Okada. Being named as a beneficiary of the company’s payments led to Bangsil Jr.’s career ending, as he explained to the Philippine media.

As Bangsil Jr. information released by Wynn Resorts Macau was seemingly false (as the former Pagcor employee argues) Bangsil Jr. took the case to the court and set the damages lawsuit against the company. However, the battle will continue.

Previously, the Macau Court of First Appeal had confirmed that “Wynn Macau had unlawfully disclosed the former Pagcor officials personal data without permission”. The information about gifts and payments by Kazuo Okada was used by the company to end the relationship with the former director.
