PA slots revenue down 1.7%

According to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, slots revenue was down 1.7 per cent in February.

US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has announced the monthly report for total revenue generated from the play of slot machines at casinos during February 2018. During the second month of the year gross revenue from slot machines at the 12 casinos was US$189 million, a 1.7 per cent decrease in revenue when compared to the US$192.2 million generated in February 2017.

There was also a decrease on the average number of slot machines operating from 2017’s 26,254 to 25,841. The PGCB further reported that tax revenue in February of this year was US$98,779,694.

Gross slot machine revenue was led by Parx Casino, with US$32.7 million (5.9 per cent up), followed by Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem’s US$23.8 million (5.72 per cent down) and Rivers Casino’s US$22.59 million (1.93 per cent down). Other results included the Meadows Casino’s US$17.1 million  (-3.41 per cent), Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino (US$16.89 million, 3.28 per cent up), Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course (US$16.2 million, -5.75 per cent), Mohegan Sun Pocono (US$16.2 million, -4.51 per cent), SugarHouse Casino (US$14.8 million, 2.09 per cent), MountAiry Casino Resort (US$10.2 million, -8.16 per cent), Presque Isle Downs and Casino (US$9 million, up 1.09 per cent), Valley Forge Casino Resort (US$6.9 million, up 2.41 per cent) and Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin (US$2.25 million, -13.58 per cent).
