In this exclusive interview with Focus Gaming News, Osman Walker, CSO at SA Gaming, shares details about the company’s newly revamped user interface, which was launched in April.

Exclusive interview.- In April, SA Gaming launched a newly revamped user interface, specially engineered to elevate the gaming experience for players.

To find out more about the launch, how it was developed and its main features, Focus Gaming News spoke to Osman Walker, CSO at SA Gaming.

What are the most significant improvements users will notice in the new SA Gaming user interface? 

Our new interface comes with a couple of new features. Players will notice that the interface has become fully responsive – our developers have spent huge efforts on adapting our layout perfectly on any device and any screen size. There is a Featured section showing popular games in their regions, as well as Baccarat tables with good roads for immediate access. In the tables, players can switch the positions of the betting areas to suit their preferences – we know some players are accustomed to a certain layout of the betting area. We are doing everything we can to attract these players to come to play at SA Gaming. 

How does the new UI enhance the overall player experience in terms of usability, speed, or personalisation? 

The new interface enhances the player experience significantly through improved usability, speed, and personalisation. 

In terms of usability, we have reorganised the buttons based on the frequency of use, allowing players to access their favourites or our recommended tables in just a click or two. This streamlined layout simplifies navigation, making it easier for players to find what they need.

The new interface comes with Lite Mode, where graphics are adjusted for enhanced loading and device compatibility. Players can still enjoy our games even if they experience a drop in the connection speed. This enhancement ensures that gameplay remains fluid and uninterrupted, allowing players to immerse themselves fully in their gaming experience.

The key focus of our revamped interface is human-centricity. We place the greatest emphasis on flexibility. We understand that players visit different suppliers and they may have a preferred layout when it comes to betting areas – and that could be very different from the main design we offer. Allowing the switch of these betting sections gives players the flexibility to customise their layout. Additionally, the fully responsive design adapts seamlessly to different screen sizes, enhancing the personalisation experience. Players are assured a tailored experience, whether on a mobile device or a desktop.

Was player behaviour or feedback a driving force behind the UI overhaul?

Player feedback and their behaviours are always the key driving forces. By studying and analysing the usage frequency of every button, we redesign our interface to cater for the majority needs. We also seek feedback from our operators because they know the players well. Our trusted clients highlighted that players are looking for more intuitive navigation, quick access to favourites, and more flexible betting layout options. 

Having all these opinions collected, we have created a user-centric interface that meets players’ needs. After observing the player behaviours, our interface is a product that caters for general player behaviour so we can acquire more new players while retaining the existing ones. 

How does this redesign align with SA Gaming’s broader commitment to innovation and user satisfaction?

Are there any new features or functionalities introduced in this version that weren’t available before? 

Definitely. Our new interface includes a couple of brand-new features that were not available in the previous versions. 

First of all, the new interface enables players to switch the positions of different parts of the betting area. Players can choose whether they would like to have the betting area closer to the table or the bottom of the screen. This is what we have learnt from user behaviour research. Some players love the betting area closer to the table for a more land-based casino-like experience, while some prefer it at the bottom, which is similar to the command panel in video games and mobile games. With our interface, players can choose where they want the betting area to be. By offering both options, we believe it would attract more players. 

The betting area can also be enlarged during the countdown, making betting easier than ever. We received feedback from operators that some players experience difficulties in placing bets on certain bet options as they are too small. To make full use of the screen, the betting area can be zoomed in during the betting time so players will not miss any chances!
