Ortiz Gaming: “It is all studied to ensure the player’s happiness”
Alejandro Ortiz, founder and chairman of Ortiz Gaming, talks exclusively with Focus Gaming News about the Londoner tradeshow and the company’s plans for this year.
One of the most significant bingo and slots machines’ manufacturer from the US, Ortiz Gaming, shared its insight of ICE Totally Gaming latest edition.
How did Ortiz Gaming live the ICE?
Our participation in ICE is extremely important, since this is one of the greatest international tradeshows in gaming and ours is a global company. It was vital to exhibit our products for various markets, both online and social games, as well as the land based machines and products.
It was great to strengthen our relationship with the markets where we operate. We received a great feedback from our partners, and they can’t wait to see what’s next (what we are developing currently.)
Which products did visitors experience at the booth?
We presented our Standard, Standard Plus, O-Future and O-Circle cabinets, as well as an interactive area. Among the new games were Rimba and Oasis. This year we have plans to launch a new product line, a new concept of gaming, but I cannot give any details yet.
What is next for Ortiz Gaming?
We always seek to entertain the players, so they spend more time having fun in our machines and that turns into increased income for our partners.
Ortiz Gaming has grown significantly over the past decade. This year, with the expansion into new product lines and gaming industries, as well as our interactive division, it really has us focusing on strengthening each of our current markets.
Do you think that online and social games compete with game rooms?
No. There are several types of players; There are players for social games, online games, land based games and everything in between. As these markets grow, and we have a better understanding of the diverse demographics across these segments, these markets will become symbiotic. I see these markets becoming cross promotional tools introducing social gamers, to game rooms, and die hard casino goers to online. These markets are not competing but adjacent markets, which will allow the player to enjoy the game anywhere they choose.
What is the secret for Ortiz Gaming’s success?
Since inventing my first game, I have been completely focused on the player. The math, layout, sound… it is all studied to ensure the player’s happiness. If a player is excited and enjoying themselves, it is a win-win situation, because it increases time-in-chair and revenue for the gaming operator.
