New bidders for online gaming in Buenos Aires
Companies that get online gaming licences in Buenos Aires will be able to launch operations in the newly regulated segment in the Argentine province.
Argentina.- Gaming regulator IPLyC revealed new information about online gaming bidders in Buenos Aires. According to them, new companies are pushing to get a licence in the region, totalling 15 challengers.
Latest to jump in were Boldt Group, together with 888, Casino Victoria with Betsson and Sisal Entertainment with Areltown and El Chalero (Bahía Blanca Bingo).
Local media reported that more operators may jump into the race. The 15 proposals to get an online gaming licence in Buenos Aires include prestigious international companies. That way, the authorities hope the local segment will benefit from the operation.
IPLyC will only grant seven online gaming licences in Buenos Aires. However, it will continue to receive proposals during the bidding process. Companies to get the official permit will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
More interest in online gaming in Buenos Aires
IPLyC posted the bidders list on its official website. International companies are required to partner with locally-based businesses to push for a permit.
Those who have been approved to compete had already been announced. Atlantica De Juegos S.A and Stars Interactive Limited filed their joint project. Furthermore, William Hill seeks to operate together with ArgenBingo S.A, while Bingo Pilar and PPB Counter Party Services Limited have also partnered up.
Other bidders include: BinBaires S.A-INTRALOT International Limited; Playtech Software Limited-Hotel Casino Tandil S.A and Dynamo Tyche S.A.; Biyemas S.A-Slots Machines; Luckia-Emprendimientos Crown SA.
