“The adoption of online gaming by governments will increase”
(Exclusive interview).- Evolution Gaming CPO Todd Haushalter speaks to Focus Gaming News and assesses the industry’s present and future.
Focus Gaming News discussed the current panorama with Evolution Gaming’s Chief Product Officer Todd Haushalter. In an interview on our YouTube channel, he discusses the scenario for iGaming and what comes next for the industry.
Talking about customers’ choices, he says that “a decade ago, the major draw was trust,” but that over time, people have become increasingly more trusting of the internet.
He says that seeing a live person conducting games on live casinos “drove a lot of the interest” and said: “Video as a paradigm became so big, and there we were with a video product.”
Haushalter said he believed “games will become increasingly rich and entertainment driven” in the live casino segment.
As for the industry’s future, Evolution Gaming’s CPO predicts that “the entertainment and gaming industry will fuse together more and more,” and forecasts that “the adoption of online gaming by governments will increase, particularly in the US.”
He also expects a lot of players to “stick to the iGaming segment” after discovering it during the period of obligatory isolation during the current pandemic.
Regarding the upcoming launch of Crazy Time, the Evolution’s latest game, Haushalter said: “It’s the most expensive and most time-consuming game ever made in the industry.”
