OLG wants to expand sports betting ops

The Canadian company is searching for a service provider to boost its sports betting service.

Canada.- The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) revealed that a search to find a service provider that would help enhance and expand the sports betting service has begun. The company is seeking to boost and increase betting options for consumers in Ontario.

The Request for Proposals (RFP) is actually part of OLG’s effort to develop more gambling options for players in the territory. It has been revealed that OLG is planning on introducing more online and mobile services, as well as across retail estate in the Canadian province.

The sports betting offering would include content from PlaySmart for online and retail channels, as well as an exclusive selection of tools for players. All these changes would be focused on responsible gaming, the company said.

Whilst other Canadian provinces, such as Atlantic Canada, British Columbia, Quebec and Manitoba already offer sports betting to their online consumers, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation expects to hace a service provider chosen for a sports betting solution by the last months of 2018.
