OLG gets closer to bringing a casino to Georgian Bay

The Canadian company has selected Gateway as the new service provider for the Central Gaming Bundle.

Canada.- Ontario Lottery and Gaming is moving forward with the initiative to bring a casino to Southern Georgian Bay. The company has selected Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited as the service provider for the Central Gaming Bundle.

This measure establishes that Gateway will be in charge of the day-to-day operations of Georgian Downs and Casino Rama Resort, local media reported. The company will also decide whether a casino is built in Wasaga Beach or Collingwood, but it is still unclear when that decision will be made.

Tony Santo, Gateway’s CEO, said: “Gateway has become the standard for gaming and hospitality in Canada and the award of this bundle allows us to build on that leadership position. We look forward to working with our new team members at Casino Rama Resort and OLG Slots at Georgian Downs.”

Gateway is expected to keep employees for at least a year in their current position and location, as the agreement requires them to do. Moreover, day-to-day operations are expected to be taken over in the summer.
