Ocean Casino in Atlantic City confirms return of live entertainment
The casino and resorts company has announced the return of shows and entertainment in its Ovation Hall starting in July.
US.- Casinos in Atlantic City are getting ready to return to their full entertainment experience following the easing of Covid-19 restrictions in the US.
Ocean Casino Resort has announced the return of entertainment to its Ovation Hall starting in July with shows from Loverboy, Brian McKnight, Melissa Etheridge, and legendary rocker Alice Cooper, who will kick off his national tour at Ocean in September.
Terry Glebocki, chief executive officer for Ocean Casino Resort, said: “Entertainment is one of Ocean’s core foundations, and as restrictions ease and we are able to open up more of our property, the return of live music and comedy bolsters our premier resort experience.”
Ocean has implemented health and safety initiatives in front of and behind the curtain. Included in the protocols are mask requirements, thermal screening, hand sanitizing stations and physical distancing.
Advanced ticket reservations are being encouraged to help Ocean comply with capacity restrictions and to maximise contactless ticket scanning.
Other acts scheduled include Jeff Dunham, The Beach Boys, and Collective Soul.
This summer, Ocean will introduce Glen Burtnick’s Summer of Love Concert series, beginning on July 9 and running every Friday and Sunday through August 29.
The series of concerts will focus on iconic rock music from the period between the 1967 release of The Beatles album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and the 1969 Woodstock Music and Art Festival. There will be covers from artists such as The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Santana, and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.
